In-home, telehealth therapy may be the only option for clients with extremely busy schedules.
You may have a hard time finding a local therapist with my expertise and specialization or wish to have full confidentiality by avoiding potentially being recognized while walking into a therapist's office. Chronic medical issues, transportation issues, responsibilities at home, or childcare are all reasons you may need in-home, telehealth therapy.
In-home, video sessions are shown to be just as effective as in-person, office sessions (Thompson, 2016; Chakrabarti, 2015). While I have previously offered in-person, in-home therapy and in-person, office therapy for couples, I have discontinued this due to high demand of my services to clients throughout California via telehealth.
